Subtitle A New Try Born out of Companies' Awareness of Issues Related to IT Measures

Q.Why did your company decide to take on interns? What did you aim to achieve?
It all started with the idea of having an intern conduct SEO (search engine optimization) measures for our company's website. We had heard that IT skills in Central Asia and the Baltic States are advanced, and we wanted to talk to someone from these regions and entrust them with projects we wanted to undertake as a company. Additionally, by working with Mr. Murat this time, we aimed to explore alternative strategies different from the typical patterns and tackle measures in this field that our usual contractors were not very proficient in.

Collaboration on Diverse Projects Utilizing the Intern's IT Skills

Q.What kind of internship did you run? What difficulties did you face and how did you resolve them?
Mr. Murat utilized his IT skills to engage in the following three projects:
1. Multilingual support and SEO measures for our company website
2. Development of a cleaning robot for pipelines
3. Development of an automatic measurement system for conveyor belt tension
For projects 1 and 2, since they involved teamwork, he collaborated with both internal and external stakeholders. Particularly for project 1, since many of our customers from Central Asia are in their 30s, we aimed to design our website from the perspective of the younger generation. Therefore, he worked with our website developers to create user-friendly site navigation, SEO strategies, and multilingual support that would be clear to potential overseas customers. For project 3, we presented the problem to Mr. Murat to have him propose IT solutions.
This internship was an enjoyable learning experience for both our employees and Mr. Murat, as we discovered new insights and realized how different perspectives can change based on generational differences.
Furthermore, to help him understand Japanese business practices, we took him on business trips. To let him appreciate the beauty of Japan, we also went on short trips together.

The New Value Brought to the Company through Interaction with Interns

Q.Comparing before and after the internship, what effects did it have on you, your employees, or your organization?
During his internship, Mr. Murat valued and adhered to the principle of 'believe you can do it, and give it a try.' I believe that Mr. Murat's positive attitude had a beneficial influence on the surrounding employees.
We also discovered that robot development is one of Mr. Murat's areas of expertise, and he had a valuable exchange of ideas with our parent company, which is involved in robot development. I have heard that the comments Mr. Murat made during this exchange were eye-opening for the robot development team at the parent company, leaving them very impressed. Similarly, regarding the structure of our company website, Mr. Murat provided us with new ideas and precise advice.
Through the interaction between Mr. Murat and employees with different perspectives, we believe we were able to create new value.

Growth Gained from Practical Experience and Networking Activities for Future Development

Q.What did you get out of the internship?
My internship in Japan was an incredible opportunity for both professional and personal growth. I was able to apply my technical knowledge, especially while working on the website and robot, by collaborating with developers and engineers to refine and implement new ideas. Despite the language barrier, with my mentor’s support and translation tools, I managed to clearly express my thoughts, which helped me grow as a professional by learning to convey technical concepts in a real-world setting.
The Japanese work culture was refreshingly organized and welcoming. The office environment emphasized attention to detail and clear communication, yet it remained warm and supportive. This balance between professionalism and approachability made it easier for me to integrate, learn, and excel.
Networking also played a significant role during my internship. I met a range of interesting people — from the engineer I worked closely with on the robotics project to various professionals I encountered at an EXPO and during my city trips. Some of these people work in IT, and I believe that the connections I made will be invaluable for my future career.
