We had a very productive time working with Sarah, our intern. Sarah's skills, atmosphere, interests, and personality were inspiring to us and had a positive impact on our employees.I believe that this achievement could not have done without her who came to us as an intern, and nobody else could have replaced her.
If we were to accept an intern again, I would like the intern to be in charge of planning promotional activities to raise awareness and branding for the overseas exhibition of the Metal Butterfly bow tie, as well as negotiating and coordinating with local companies.In addition to that, we are considering establishing our own award (prize), so intern would be involved in planning the concept, regulations, etc. for its realization, research, and sales activities to potential sponsor companies.
Thanks to Sarah, we have been able to build a base for our international brand site and e-commerce site, which has been very helpful in implementing our web strategy.Also, since we were able to build the site on a platform that can be operated in-house, we are able to flexibly respond to multilingual support for overseas customers and SEO measures.Thanks in part to this, we have seen an increase in access from overseas. In addition, the close contact with foreign human resources has greatly lowered the barriers to overseas transactions in business, and we have become more confident in our challenge.After the internship, I visited her and deepened our relations again, and at the same time, I was able to experience firsthand the current situation in Indonesia, which is growing rapidly.We are still in regular contact and continue to exchange information with a view to developing new business in Indonesia in the future.
In December 2020, the Metal Butterfly was recognized by experts, including foreigners, as a product full of the wonderful Japanese spirit of hospitality "Omotenashi" and received an award.In addition, this product will be displayed in a gallery store in New York for one year, and we would like to actively promote it in the United States.We are also planning to establish our own awards as a new project, and in that project we want to create opportunities for shining talents who are not yet out in the world to spread their wings to the world, and to honor those who are brave enough to take the initiative and put their own efforts into helping someone in need.。Through this project, I would like to achieve the brand mission of "Metal Butterfly" and solve social problems.
"Why are we working on this program? "is the most important question of all.I believe that continuing to ask this question will lead us to think about "what issues our products and services will solve for our customers," and as a result, this will become our mission statement.It is not a business of "going overseas because the domestic market is shrinking", but a business that helps people realize the true value of their company and sublimate it into something useful not only for individuals but also for society, Japan and the world.Through our internship activities, we were also able to think about the "overseas development of our products," and we learned and realized many things from overseas personnel with outstanding talents.I realized that it is essential for Japanese companies to create corporate philosophies, brand missions, business development, and organizations that are always conscious of the world in order to open up the potential of overseas human resources.
